Patients diagnosed with skin cancer may be able to find relief in cannabis. One study from 2015 and published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology found that mice with melanoma responded well to cannabis treatment, and that the treatment caused melanoma cell death. While this has yet to be tested on human subjects, the positive news will hopefully open the doors to more research on the effects of cannabis on skin cancer. One symptoms cancer patients face is pain, and one study from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network found medical marijuana was able to successfully reduce this pain in cancer patients.
