Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the better known cannabinoids that is able to provide therapeutic benefits without producing psychoactive side effects. Strains vary in CBD concentrations, and breeders are able to tailor their production to high CBD strains that fit the criteria of some of the stricter legislation regarding high-CBD or CBD-only medical marijuana. Research has revealed CBD can reduce nausea and vomiting, suppress seizure activity, combat psychosis disorders, fight tumors and cancer cells, and battle anxiety and depression disorders. This makes it a potential player in the treatment of a long list of conditions, including neuroinflammation disorders, epilepsy, oxidative injury, vomiting and nausea, and anxiety and schizophrenia.
In the next posts of this series, we will go into detail discussing how CBD plays a role in the treatment of specific conditions and disorders. This information has been provided by Medical Marijuana Inc. and approved by our Chief Medical Officer.
