Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) describes many genetic disorders that results in the degradation of the body's connective tissue, something that affects the skin, joints, bones, blood vessels, and critical organs like the heart. In its most severe form, a condition called vascular EDS, the disorder causes the walls of blood vessels to rupture, which can result in rupturing and hemorrhaging of the intestines, uterus, or other organs.

Those who suffer from EDS may experience chronic pain, anxiety, mobility issues, unusually soft or elastic skin, easy bruising, frequently dislocated joints, irregular heartbeat, hypermobility, fainting spells, and other issues. Because of this, cannabis can play an important role in the therapeutic relief for those who suffer from EDS. Cannabis' cannabinoids can interact with cannabinoid receptors throughout the body to provide pain relief, reduce inflammation, and fight nausea, so it can help the many EDS patients who experience chronic plain, bruising, inflammation, stomach pain, and nausea.
