The cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) provides cancer patients relief from nausea, pain, and inflammation. CBD is one of the many cannabinoids found in cannabis, and it has some of the same therapeutic benefits as THC without the producing psychotropic side effects. Research suggests CBD can combat inflammation and relieve neuropathic pain while also suppressing nausea an vomiting, making it an excellent therapeutic supplement to traditional treatments for cancer patients. Even more beneficial, studies from the National Cancer Institute have revealed CBD may be able to slow the progression of and reduce cancer cell growth. Lastly, CBD has little to no adverse side effects, including the impossibility of overdose.
