The cannabis plant is experiencing a resurgence. The plant is nothing new; it's been around for centuries, known for its medicinal properties and for it's industrial uses as hemp material. In recent decades, the plant suffered a blow to it's reputation as it was demonized in "reefer madness" propaganda. As people begin to return to the plant, and praise it as a miracle drug that can treat a variety of debilitating illnesses, the plant's reputation seems to be in a process of restoration. We are living in a time of revived scientific interest in the plant, and this National Geographic article paints a picture of marijuana as it serves different scientific fields. This article shows you cannabis as it pertains to the chemist, the botanist, the biochemist, the caregiver, and the geneticist. http://bit.ly/1J85rCW
