Cannabigerol (CBG): The Traffic Cop of Cannabinoids

Cannabis has more than 110 cannabinoids in the plant, one of which is Cannabigerol (CBG). CBG is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid known for it's anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, but what exactly does it do within your cells, and how does it work? Whaxy compares the cannabinoid to a traffic cop because it balances the effects of different cannabinoids. Whaxy describes CBG's ability to act as a buffer reducing paranoia and depression, and as a key player in fighting cancerous tumors. CBG can also serve as an anti-oxidant. Currently, there isn't a significant amount of information on CBG because of its behind the scenes role balancing other cannabinoids, but researchers and growers are beginning to pay more attention to the cannabinoid. As more information comes out, we may find cannabigerol is a bigger player than previously thought. For a more detailed look at cannabigerol, read Whaxy's analysis of the cannabinoid.
